Roary the Racing Car
Roary the Racing Car is narrated by Stirling. Since launching in 2007 on Five’s Milkshake! and Nick Jr Roary the Racing Car has raced into pre-schooler’s hearts and has rapidly become one of the most successful pre-schools not only in the UK but globally.
Produced by Chapman Entertainment, the producers of Fifi and the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car follows the adventures of Roary, a right, cheeky and energetic single-seater, and his amazing race car friends at Silver Hatch race track.
The series uses a cutting edge combination of CGI, stop frame animation and colourful sets to convey a real sense of speed in this re-school turbo-charged series with all the thrills and spills of the race track.
Roary is narrated by Stirling and the Big Chris character voiced by Peter Kay. Stirling’s voice and name have been introduced to a new generation of children and their parents with their grandparents able to tell them why Stirling remains an icon of motorsport to this day.
Roary the Racing Car was originated by David Jenkins, the idea for Roary being conceived whilst watching a Grand Prix on TV with, his then 18 month old son, Tom. The series was designed and developed by Keith Chapman, Creative Director of Chapman Entertainment and the originator of Bob the Builder as well as the creator of Fifi and the Flowertots.
The series Executive Producer Greg Lynn says of Stirling:
"He connects the show with real motor racing and its heritage, his voice being instantly recognisable, winning him a whole new generation of fans".
