Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance
The first Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance was held on April 6, 1996 at Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Florida. 2010 is the 15th Anniversary of the event, which was founded by Bill Warner, an automotive photographer and avid car collector.
The Concours was started at the urging of Florida auto enthusiasts who wanted a classic car show in their area. Since then, the Amelia Island Concours has become world famous for being not only fan friendly but in presenting over 250 rare, unusual and seldom seen classic road and racing cars from all periods of automotive history.
The show takes place in the month of March at The Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach adjacent to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Amelia Island, Florida. The show’s foundation has donated nearly $1.6 million to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc. since it began 1996.
