In the dense forests of western Germany lies one of the most legendary, demanding and deadly racing circuits in the world, the Nürburgring, dubbed 'The Green Hell' by Sir Jackie Stewart.
Opened in 1927, this 23km track remains the benchmark of racing performance for drivers and manufacturers. It has also being the scene of terrible injuries and sadly even death for those who have raced on it over the years. Niki Lauda famously nearly perished in his horrifying Formula 1 crash in 1976.
"The Green Hell" is an exciting new documentary film by Hannes M Schalle, narrated by broadcasting icon Murray Walker and David Croft, which features exclusive interviews with Sir Stirling, Sir Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Lewis Hamilton, Jans-Joachim Stuck, Jochen Mass and many more. The film also unveils unseen footage from motor sport’s golden age to help celebrate the circuit's 90th anniversary year.
